Frequently asked questions - Bookings

What time is check in time?
4pm. We have a 24 hour reception desk however if you are due to arrive after 11pm please do let us know in advance. Early check ins are on a request basis only and subject to availability on the day of check in. We would advise informing of your approximate arrival time when making your reservation.
If an early check in is unavailable, guests are welcome to use our leisure centre to freshen up in the interim or unwind in our relaxation lounge. We also provide luggage storage facilities for before and after check in/check out.
What time is check out time?

12pm noon, treat yourself to a late check-out until 2pm for just €20 per room. (Subject to availability)
Do you accept group bookings?

Please contact our reservation team on 091 520520 in relation to group bookings.
Are pets allowed in the hotel?

Only service dogs are permitted in the hotel.
What is the cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy can be found on your confirmation email, at booking stage when booking online, or by contacting a member of our reservations team on 091 520520.
What is the hotel’s credit card policy?
The card used to guarantee the reservation does not need to be the card used at the hotel. If booking an advance purchase rate or a rate that requires a deposit, the card will be charged at time of booking but no other reservation will be charged prior to arrival. A card will need to be presented to the front desk upon check in to guarantee for room and incidental charges.
Do you have family rooms or upgraded rooms?
Yes, we have family rooms, interconnecting rooms and upgraded rooms and suites available for an additional charge, please ask reservations for more details or visit www.galwaybayhotel.com to view room options.
Does the hotel accommodate people with disabilities/ mobility problems?
We have a number of wheelchair accessible rooms. Please make a note of this during booking stage to request one of these rooms as there is limited availability.
Does the hotel have car parking?
Yes, the hotel provides ample complimentary car parking with a car park just off reception and also a lower ground car park with direct access to the hotel.
Does the hotel have fridges in its bedrooms?
If you require a fridge in your room during your stay, please make a request with our reservations team or in the comments section of your online booking and we will add a fridge to your room subject to availability.
Does the hotel provide cots and camp beds?
If you require a cot or camp bed, please book them with our reservations team prior to arrival or if booking online this can be added in the special request section. Cots and camp beds are subject to availability.
